Proposed Merger of Matrix Medical Centre and Wayfield Medical Centre

Matrix Medical Centre and Wayfield Medical Centre are looking to merge together.

Historically, the Matrix Medical Centre and Wayfield Medical Centre have worked alongside each other sharing Luton Medical Centre.

The main reason for the merger is from an administrative point of view. Currently we have one reception team who have to run two computer systems alongside each other, which is proving more and more difficult and as we get new software release, which are not designed to run alongside dual sites. In fact, patients will see no change other than we will hopefully become more efficient and be able to deal with your queries quicker.

We are committed to ensuring that continuity of care is retained for patients with on-going health care issues as we know that this is important to you, and good for patient care.

If you have any comments you wish to make about this, either contact the surgery or email us at edn.g82719@nhs.net
